A Study on the dertermination of Sulfa drug

Abstract

|
Sulfa drug, combined with p-chlorophenol, -Cu( If) complex salt is soluble in EtoH. So the complex salt can be determined by the method of spectrophotometer.
The maximum absorbance of the complexis 410 mp. and molar ratio of the complex was estimated
as 1:2 by coutinuous variation method and E. D. T. A. titration method.
The effect of pH. standing time, EtoH concentration on the absorbance of the complex was in
vestigated.
This complex formation is so sensitive that it would be avarable for determination of Sulfa drug.
